Ollie in the Classroom – Lesson plans, assemblies, and resources Ollie & His Superpowers

 

 

Ollie in a Classroom is series of assemblies, and lesson plans (that includes additional resources such a video’s, books, toys, cloaks) to be used through out the school year for children from EYFS to Year 6. 

Ollie in the Classroom has been developed by teaching professionals who have trained to be Ollie Coaches to help children in their own schools and classrooms learn to manage their emotions rather than being controlled by them in a fun and interactive way.

Key Stage 1 Y1/2 (lesson plans)

A series of 21 lessons to be taught across the academic year. Teachers can respond to the needs of their class by selecting how long to spend on individual lessons. If a certain theme is a key focus for a class, the lesson can be delivered across a number of days and previous lessons can be revisited at any time in the year. Teachers need to ideally begin with Super Powers but can then select the most suitable sequence of learning for their individual class. The Ollie stories will ideally be fed through all three terms.

Key Stage 2  Y3/4/5/6 (lesson plans)

A series of 22 lessons for Year 3/4 and 23 lessons for Year 5/6 to be taught across the three terms. The lessons will be best delivered in sequence with the flexibility of revisiting a particular theme at any stage in the year in response to the children and their experiences.

Assemblies

Six sets of scripts and slides to support a school in delivering an Ollie assembly for each half term plus an additional assembly that may be used in Anit-bullying week.  It is suggested that these are presented prior to commencing the Lesson Plans.

Covering topics such as:

• Anti-bullying week
• Stepping stones to success
• Memories
• Courage
• Empathy
